Development on Kingdom Hearts 3 has wrapped up; New Trailer “Together” Released

By Keith MitchellNovember 20, 2018

I never would have imagined we’d be hearing this (ok, that’s a bit far-fetched), however, the powers that be over at Square Enix have announced that the development of Kingdom Hearts 3 has been completed. That means that the game will be going gold in the new upcoming weeks. It also means that those delays people were fearing was going to happen, well, won’t happen. So to that, I want to congratulate Square Enix and everyone who’s worked on the title. I know there all happy as heck that they’re finally done.

Can you believe that this game is almost here? I sure can’t!

I'm proud to unveil an extended version of the trailer that's been playing in NA cinemas. And guess what? We've wrapped up development of #KingdomHearts III!
If you haven't had the chance yet, now would be a good time to prep by playing 1.5+2.5 & 2.8. See you next month! – Nomura pic.twitter.com/NvZYBut3WI

In addition to the fantastic news, a new trailer called “Together” has also been released. This is a longer version of the trailer that’s been popping up in North American movie theaters. This is basically segments of the various trailers for the game, seamed into one amazing presentation. It’s definitely worth the watch and I’ve watched it more than a few times.

It’s been 12 years since Kingdom Hearts 2 was originally released, and five years since Kingdom Hearts 3 was announced. I really still can’t believe that come Jan. 29, 2019, we’ll finally be able to play this gem of a game. And not in some convention or special event, but in the comfort of our own homes. It’s going to be so good. But we’re still 2 months away, so now is a good as any time to play the previous titles in the series if you haven’t yet.

If you don’t own them, then run out and pick up Kingdom Hearts – The Story So Far. This is a collection of all the titles in the main storyline and it’s quite the haul;
