Summer Jam 12, August 31st-September 2nd is Jammed Full of Action

By Zachery PaikaiAugust 31, 2018

The next few days are gonna be fighting game central; several tournaments will be playing out over the weekend and beyond, including Summer Jam 12. If you listen carefully, you may even catch the harmonious orchestra of arcade sticks being mashed on from around the world. Both Ultimate Fighting Arena 2018 and Summer Jam 12 are beginning today, August 31st, and continuing on through the entire weekend concluding on September 2nd.

Summer Jam 12 is taking place in the city of Philadelphia and will feature fighting games of all shapes and sizes. Seriously, the line-up of titles is stacked for this event; two games, in particular, have official World Tour stops here.

  • Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition (Capcom Pro Tour Ranking event)
  • Super Street Fighter II: Turbo
  • Street Fighter 3: Third Strike
  • Street Fighter Alpha 2
  • Street Fighter Alpha 3
  • Street Fighter x Tekken
  • Tekken 7 (Tekken World Tour Master event)
  • Soul Calibur 6 (playable build)
  • Dead or Alive 5: Last Round
  • Dragon Ball Fighter Z
  • Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator 2
  • BlazBlue: Central Fiction
  • BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle
  • Under Night In-Birth: EXE (st)
  • Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3
  • Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite
  • Vampire Savior
  • Fighting EX Layer
  • Arms
  • Pokken Tournament DX
  • Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
  • The King of Fighters XIV
  • Injustice 2

All of the competitors attending Summer Jam 12 and the brackets for said players can be found here. Allow me to fire off a few names of these notable players competing at Summer Jam 12. Tekken 7’s attendees will include names such as Red Bull/Anakin, ITS/Lil Majin, PG/Speedkicks, and UYU/JeonDDing. While Street Fighter V will see players such as Echo Fox/Justin Wong, Echo Fox/Punk, and Ghost/NuckleDu.

I’m definitely looking forward to this tournament weekend. How about you folks?

From the Hawaiian islands, Nanaue, the Prince of Sharks first appeared. This shark man was uncontested in terms of video game prowess. His notoriety of being a top-tier game wiz angered the envious locals and eventually forced Nanaue into exile. His hunger for competition and game knowledge grew as time past. This in tow, leads him to delve into the sea of writing and gaming culture.
