New Trailer for ‘American Vandal’ Season 2

By Charlie ShawAugust 21, 2018

Another mystery is afoot! A new trailer for American Vandal presents viewers with what’s shaping up to be another entertaining season for the Netflix series.

The first official trailer for the new season of American Vandal just dropped, and it looks like fans will be in for another zany, high school mystery. The setting takes place at St. Bernardine, a private high school where returning filmmakers Peter Maldonado and Sam Ecklund will document the latest conspiracy. This time, the documentarians will uncover the true identity of “The Turd Burglar” a prankster who spiked the school’s lemonade with laxatives, causing a massive prank – dubbed the “the brownout”- to the students.

For those unaware of the show’s premise, American Vandal is a comedy series on Netflix that presents itself as a documentary set in high school. It plays as a satire on true crime documentaries, where a group of filmmakers try to uncover the truth behind a mystery. However, instead of solving murders, the show aims to uncover the truth behind over-the-top high school pranks.

The show was created by Dan Perrault and Tony Yacenda, who envisioned a mockumentary that plays homage to high school stories and true crime events. Both of them will return as executive producers, along with Dan Lagana as showrunner. Tyler Alvarez and Griffin Gluck will return as the dynamic-duo of Peter Maldonado and Sam Ecklund, who documented the events of the first season. Joining the cast will be Travis Tope (Boardwalk Empire) and Taylor Dearden (Sweet/Vicious)

All eight episodes of season 2 of American Vandal will head to Netflix on September 14, 2018.
