Looking forward to Ubisoft’s upcoming Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 and happen to be heading out to SDCC 2018? Well, be sure to check out Ubisoft’s panel which will cover the game.

The panel is called ‘Infectiously Expanding the Universe of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2’. Here we’ll learn more about the backstory of the game, as well as expanding into other media forms. Such as comics, novels and more.

Visitors and fans can join Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 Creative Director Julian Gerighty and other members of the team as they take you on a journey through what it takes to bring the post-pandemic world of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 to life in-game. They will learn how The Division universe has been successfully brought to life with the ability to expand through comic books, novels and other forms of entertainment. To provide an in-depth look at what it takes to jump into the universe of The Division and enrich its lore with new stories, characters and new pieces of information around the virus outbreak. Hosted by What’s Good Game’s Andrea Rene, the panel includes Creative Director Julian Gerighty, Lead Narrative Designer John Bjorling, Writer Alex Irvine and Dark Horse editor Ian Tucker.

The panel will be hosted on July 19th and will start at 6 PM PDT / 9 PM EDT, in room 6BCF.

Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is Ubisoft’s follow-up to their open-world, third-person shooter, The Division. This time around the game will focus on the capital of the United States, Washington, DC. On the brink of collapse, The Division agents are sent to the city in an attempt to save it and the entire country. Unlike the first game, this time we’ll see a bigger emphasis on endgame content.

We’re talking about more co-op missions, instances and finally, raids. There’s also a larger number of character customizations and class specializations. The gear sets will return but will be augmented with Brands. Branded gear sets that bring both brand and gear set bonuses. You’ll be able to solo the entire game if like to live that lone-wolf life. Yep, Ubisoft has confirmed this. Though I’d imagine that running a raid solo might be a bit impossible.

The Division 2 releases on March 19, 2019, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox  One, and PC. As A huge fan of the first The Division, I can’t wait to get my hands on the game. Speaking of which, there’s a beta that you can sign up for, right now! Head on over The Division 2 website to get access to the beta. We currently don’t know when this will start, but I’m hoping that we’ll know more by Gamescom 2018.
