Four New Jobs Revealed Ahead Of Octopath Traveler’s Release

We’re already sold Square Enix, we already want the game

While everyone is eagerly awaiting for Octopath Traveler, for the Switch to be released. It would seem that Square Enix isn’t done dropping the bombs. Today, during the Japan Expo, the company announced that four more jobs would be available.

Using the Google translator, the new jobs revealed are called Warlord, Enchanter, Augur and Rune Lord. Mind you, the translator isn’t the best so there might be an error in there.

But what exactly are jobs in Octopath Traveler? By default, every character you control will have a job, or better yet, a class. However, later on in the game, you’re able to take on a second job. It also Now you won’t be able to switch your original class but you will take on the secondary classes abilities.  This ultimately changes how your character fights and their appearance.

With the announcement of the four new jobs, this brings the total to 12 total jobs that will be available.

  • Merchant
  • Apothecary
  • Scholar
  • Warrior
  • Dancer
  • Thief
  • Hunter
  • Cleric
  • Warlord
  • Enchanter
  • Augur
  • Rune Lord

With Octopath Traveler releasing in just one more week, this news just makes me want the game even more. Octopath Traveler releases on July 13, 2018, exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
