E3 2018: Dragon Ball FighterZ Is Coming To The Nintendo Switch

By Keith MitchellJune 12, 2018
Dragon Ball FighterZ

Here we go Dragon Ball FighterZ fans! Now you’ll be able to get your Goku (or Vegeta) on, on the go as Dragon Ball FighterZ is heading to the Nintendo Switch. Shown off during the Nintendo E3 2018 presentation, Bandai Namco has finally listened to the cries and pleads to get this over ported over.

Play with your favorite Dragon Ball fighters, but on the go. Deep combat, crazy combos and lots and lots of salt. This is going to be huge!

Developed by Arc System Works, Dragon Ball FighterZ has been taking the fighting game world by storm. Now that the game is heading to the Switch, it’s going to get even more popular. No word on what extra features will be included or if Joy-Con motion controls will make it in. C’mon, who doesn’t want to do the Kamehameha wave with their hands?

Seriously though, I hope we get a new character or two out of this. Or perhaps, even a Nintendo character making it into the game. It wouldn’t be the first time that Bandai Namco has done this and I suspect we should hear something about this soon.

Update: Yep, motion controls are indeed in.

DRAGON BALL FighterZ for the Nintendo Switch will also feature easy-to-pick-up-and-play controls in support of single Joy-Con® play along with support for Nintendo Switch Pro Controller for serious competitive play. All the classic 2D fighting visuals and advanced 3D character models that look and feel as if they are ripped straight out of the DRAGON BALL anime series can now be enjoyed anytime, anywhere.

Be sure to check out the rest of the E3 2018 news over at our E3 Hub.
