During Microsoft’s E3 2018 conference, not only was Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice finally shown off. But we also got word that Activision will be handling the publishing duties on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Definitely, a change of pace, as the last few games from Fromsoftware were published by Bandai Namco. Well, outside of PlayStation exclusive titles published by Sony and Atlus.
Of course, that got us wondering if that meant that the PC version of the game would forgo Steam and wind up on Battle.net. Similar to not how Destiny 2 and more recently Call of Duty: Black Op 4. As such we reached out to Activision to see what the deal was.

Yep, if you were concerned to which digital storefront the game was head like I was, you don’t have to worry anymore. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will officially end up on Steam when it is released.
It’s not Dark Souls, it’s not Bloodborne. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the latest game from the studio that gave us both games, but this time we’re heading to ancient Japan. With a character that gets their missing limb replaced with a robotic-like arm, that gives them abilties similar to the trick weapons in Bloodborne. Stuff like a grappling hook, a bunch of different weapons and who knows what else. Expect some really bizzare gameplay, if the trailer was anything to go off on.
Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice will arrive in 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. We’ll be covering the title up until its eventual release.
