E3 2018: The Division 2 Gets A Release Date And More

By Keith MitchellJune 10, 2018

We’re still in the middle of Microsoft’s E3 2018 conference and we’ve just seen Ubisoft’s and Massive’s The Division 2. It looks as good as expected, has a ton of new features and this time we’re heading to the capital of the United States; Washington, D.C.

What’s more, we’re hearing that the scale of Washington, D.C., will dwarf the location of Lower Manhattan from the first The Division title. How large? How’s about a 1:1 scale of the city? That’s pretty big. Word is that the game will also have some endgame content already set, in the forms of raids. These raids will support up to eight players, which doubles the number of players that can take part in a normal instance run. It’s not news that The Division was sorely lacking endgame content when it was first released. It’s nice to see that Massive and Ubisoft are working to improve on this. The title will also run on a new game engine as well.

DLC’s were also talked about and the good news here is that there will be three free DLC’s that will be released throughout 2019. In addition, there will be a year worth of content, that includes story-drive missions, map expansions, new modes and more.

There’s even a beta that you can sign up for by going to https://tomclancy-thedivision.ubisoft.com/game/en-gb/beta. No word when the beta will be available for play, but rest assured that Massive is planning on using the beta time to stress test and smash as many bugs/issues as possible.

The Division 2 release date is March 15, 2019, on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. I
