Toonami announced on their official Facebook page that the English-subtitled streams of FLCL Progressive and FLCL Alternative are being delayed until November due to respect for their Japanese partners. This move was done to align with the release of the Japanese language versions. The English dub; however, is still scheduled to begin airing on Adult Swim’s Toonami block effective midnight June 3 (Saturday night into Sunday).

In the new season of FLCL, many years have passed since Naota and Haruhara Haruko shared their adventure together. Meanwhile, the war between the two entities known as Medical Mechanica and Fraternity rages across the galaxy.
