Battlefield 1943 Now Backwards Compatible on Xbox One

There’s more in the way of Battlefield news following the announcement of Battlefield V. Joining the ever-growing catalog of backwards compatible titles, Battlefield 1943 is now playable on Xbox One.

Players who already own the game on Xbox 360 can play now, or you can pick it up for $9.99 on the Xbox Marketplace. In addition, the game is now featured in the EA Access vault for subscribers. The online-only, multiplayer shooter released in 2009 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Battlefield 1943 was DICE’s second exploration of the WWII setting, which we’ll being seeing more of with the upcoming Battlefield V. 

Battlefield 1943 allows players to return to the World War II setting in anticipation of Battlefield V, which releases this October 11.
