New Details on Mega Man X: Legacy Collection 1+2’s X Challenge Mode

By Josh PiedraMay 23, 2018

In a preview of this week’s Famitsu magazine, Capcom’s upcoming Mega Man X: Legacy Collection 1+2’s X Challenge mode will feature a story mode option.

While there is an announcement of a story mode, there is no mention of how in-depth it will be or if there will be a story unique to Collection 1 and/or Collection 2. The X Challenge mode’s primary feature will allow you to face 2 Mavericks from the X series at the same time. According to the screenshot below, it appears you can take on this challenge using Mega Man X or Zero.

There is no confirmation yet if you can do these challenges as Axl.

The story mode may hint towards the new white armor that X has been spotted wearing in one of the screenshots.

It was also pointed out that some of the Mavericks from Collection 2 will show up in Collection 1’s X Challenge mode. Mavericks confirmed so far are Duff McWhalen, The Skiver, Commander Yammark and Blizzard Wolfang from Mega Man X5 and Mega Man X6.

Further details are said to be available this Thursday when this week’s edition of Famitsu is released
