Super Dragon Ball Heroes Receives TV Anime

By Josh PiedraMay 20, 2018
Super Dragon Ball Heroes

It was announced in the July issue of Shueisha’s V Jump magazine that the arcade card game Super Dragon Ball Heroes: Universe Mission will receive a television anime adaptation. The anime is slated to air this summer and will depict the story’s Prison Planet arc from the card game. The anime’s first episode is set to received a screening on July 1 in Aeon Lake Town, Saitama, Japan at the Super Dragon Ball Heroes Universe Tour 2018 tournament.

Bandai Namco currently has a placeholder website set up for the television anime. If you enjoy pretty “coming soon” landing pages (or it might be complete depending on when you stumble upon this post), you can check it out at the following link: http://www.carddass.com/dbh/sdbh/prison_planet/

The card game originally launched in Japan back in 2010 with the Ultimate Mission installment launching back on March 8. The game has been released as a port on the Nintendo 3DS back in 2013. Ultimate Mission 2 was released on the Nintendo 3DS one year later and Ultimate Mission X came out in April 2017. Sadly, this is not a sequel to Dragon Ball Super which ended back in March. Fans will still have to wait just a little bit longer for that.
