Shenmue III Gets Delayed Until 2019

Fans looking to get their hands on Shenmue III this year, well you’re just going to have to wait a bit longer. Earlier today, Deepsilver, the company that will now handle the publishing duties for the title has announced that Shenmue III has been delayed. Expect to see it now at an unknown release date in 2019.

Deep Silver today announce that their upcoming release Shenmue III has been moved and will now release in 2019.

The extra time will be used to polish the quality of the game even further, to the high standards it deserves and release the product in the best possible timeframe.

Sure, no one likes it when a game they’re looking forward to gets delayed. However, when the reason for the delay is for more development time, I’m sure that no one can argue with that. I’d rather a polished game instead of a polished turd. And I’m sure that others looking forward to the game will be in agreement.

This also likely means that the title won’t make an appearance at E3 2018, but who knows. There’s always the chance we’ll still something or at the very least, news on the status of the game. Of course, we’ll still see the remasters of Shenmue 1 and 2, that will be available before the end of the year.

Shenmue III when it launches will be available on the playstation 4 and PC.
