Atomic Heart Is A Soviet-Era Nightmare In Recent Trailer From Mundfish

By Jacob SmithMay 9, 2018

We’ve received a look into the eerie yet fascinating world of Atomic Heart thanks to a trailer from developer Mundfish. The young Russian company released the trailer for the game mere days ago, and it has certainly piqued the interest of gamers since then, but what do we know about the game so far?

atomic heart

Set in an alternate reality at the height of the Soviet Union’s power, Atomic Heart features a protagonist by the name of agent P-3 who is investigating a top-secret facility simply titled 3826. While we don’t know much about the story beyond that, we do know that P-3 is sent there to investigate what went wrong, and why all contact with the members of the facility has been lost.

The trailer features menacing automatons, ghoulish creatures, and horrific scenes of eviscerated humans, all of which cohesively come together to create a tense atmosphere. We even get to see bits of gameplay, giving us a glimpse at melee combat with various weapons, gun customization, and even what appears to be a boss fight. The intensity of the game is seemingly only matched by the horrors it will throw at players, see for yourself down below.

Atomic Heart is set for a February 23rd, 2023, release date on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
