PC Gamers Who Already Own Dark Souls Get A Discount On Dark Souls: Remastered

By Keith MitchellApril 24, 2018
Dark Souls Remastered

Remember when Dark Souls: Remastered was first announced and there was some confusion on if owners of the original game would get a discount? There was even a mention of it on the original teaser trailer but was quickly removed. So what happened?

Well, I’m happy to say that Bandai Namco has announced that if you do own the original Dark Souls: Prepare To Die on PC, then you will get a 50% discount. Dropping the price to just $19.99. Which brings it inline with the current price of Dark Souls: Prepare to Die. It will be available for pre-order as of May 8th, 2018.

This only applies to the PC version, not for the console versions – sorry, folks. If you don’t already own the game or want it on PS4 or Xbox One, the price will be $39.99. In addition, with the release of Dark Souls: Remastered, the original version, Dark Souls: Prepare to Die will be delisted on Steam. With the remastered version replacing it.

Owners of the PC version of "Dark Souls Prepare to Die Edition" will be able to upgrade to "DARK SOULS REMASTERED" at a discounted price. Please feel free to take advantage of this campaign. pic.twitter.com/A3mEXG2tmi

Dark Souls: Remastered drops on May 25, 2018, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. A Nintendo Switch version is also being worked on but was delayed until Summer 2018. Not sure why it was delayed as I’ve played it at PAX East 2018 and I thought it was pretty decent. Hopefully, that delay will polish it up a bit more.

Are you picking up the title? If so, for what system? Perhaps we can engage in some friendly co-operation, or attempt to stab each other in some not so friendly PVP. I’ll see you on May 25th!
