The full patch notes detail all the changes that come with the patch, but perhaps most significant is the addition of Tournaments. You may now create tournaments with up to 128 teams, limit bracket size, choose arenas, and choose game mode. When creating a tournament, players may also set minimum or maximum rank requirements for entry. And as one would expect from Rocket League, cross-platform play with tournaments is enabled.

For Switch players, video capture is now possible, allowing players to save the last 30 seconds of a play. Additionally, video capture will also have the choice between “performance mode” (60fps) and quality mode (30fps). While the performance mode has a higher framerate, they note that quality mode “enables several graphics features automatically, including Lens Flares, Light Shafts, Dynamic Shadows and Depth of Field”.

The full patch notes can be read on the official site; while these are the most notable changes, there are also performance improvements and general bug fixes . Psyonix’s continued success and support with Rocket League never fails to impress. Rocket League is available on all consoles and PC.
