Made in Abyss Film Announcement

By Cole EckerleMarch 19, 2018

We’re getting more Made in Abyss!

The official website for Made in Abyss has revealed that the anime will be getting two compilation films this winter. The first film will be titled Tabidachi no Yoake (Journey’s Dawn), and the second film will be titled Hōrō Suru Tasogare (Wandering Twilight). The announcement also came with a confirmation of the production of the second season of Made in Abyss.

Made in Abyss first aired last July in Japan. The anime was streamed in the United States shortly after. If you haven’t watched the first season yet, it is highly recommended that you do. If you decide not to watch Made in Abyss, you’ll be missing out on one of the best animes of this decade. The story is summarized below from the Made in Abyss Wiki:

The enormous cave system, known as the Abyss, is the only unexplored place in the world. Nobody knows how far down this titanic pit goes, inhabited by strange and wondrous creatures and full of mysterious ancient relics whose purpose is unknown to modern man. Generations of bold adventurers have been drawn by the cryptic depths of the Abyss. Over the course of time those bold enough to explore the dangerous pit came to be known as “Cave Raiders”.

In Orth, the town at the edge of the Abyss, there lives a little orphan named Riko, who dreams of becoming as great a cave raider as her mother was and solving the great mystery of the pit. One day exploring the murky depths she stumbles upon a little boy, who turns out to be a robot…
