That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Gets Green-Lit For This Fall

By Cole EckerleMarch 7, 2018

Are you a fan of the isekai genre but want something new and interesting? Well if so, keep an eye out for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime; A very popular manga and light novel series that has been announced to have an anime adaptation released this fall.

Lonely thirty-seven-year-old Satoru Mikami is stuck in a dead-end job, unhappy with his mundane life, but after dying at the hands of a robber, he awakens to a fresh start in a fantasy realm…as a slime monster! As he acclimates to his goopy new existence, his exploits with the other monsters set off a chain of events that will change his new world forever!

A very interesting twist on the well-known concept of isekai. Such an interesting concept that the light novel the anime adaptation will originate from has been revealed to have sold 4.5 million copies in print. This is quite an impressive feat for the novel and it is expected that the series will have an increase in popularity this fall after it’s anime adaptation releases.

Can’t wait until this fall to see what the anime has in store for us? Then lucky for you, the twelfth volume of author Fuze and artist Mitz Vah’s That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime light novel series has been scheduled to begin having volumes shipped this Friday. If manga is more your style, then you’ll be happy to hear that the manga adaptation written by Taika Kawakami will also be released this Friday.

For those of you who can’t get enough of the series will be happy to hear that the novel inspired a spinoff called; That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime – How Monsters Walk. This spinoff was created by Sho Okagiri and will have its third volume released this Friday as well.
