How To Get Aloy’s Outfit In Monster Hunter: World

By Keith MitchellFebruary 28, 2018

Starting today and until March 15, gamers who have Monster Hunter: World will be able to partake in the Horizon Zero Dawn crossover quest. Not sure how to do it? That’s ok, we’re going to tell you how. Also, keep in mind that this is a PS4-exclusive quest.

First up you need to be at HR 11 or higher. If you are, just head over to the messenger board and head to the events section. There you’ll see a quest called “The Proving”. The quest is a six-star mission that requires you to kill a high-rank Anajanath. Bring your best weapon, bonk him on the head a few times and slay him. If you’re having problems, try either a water-based weapon or get some help online.

Once you kill it you’ll be rewarded with a Nora Brave Trophy. Sometimes you’ll be granted 1-3 trophies at a time, so the number of times you need to do the quest will vary. Once you get enough of them and a few other materials, you can head over to the smithy and get the Aloy armor and bow created.

Here is the list of materials you’ll need to create both the armor and the bow.

Aloy’s Armor:

  • Nora Brave Trophy – 4
  • Anjanath Nosebone+ – 6
  • Anjanath Pelt+ – 14
  • Anjanath Gem – 1

Aloy’s Bow:

  • Nora Brave Trophy – 2
  • Monster Keenbone – 5
  • Anjanath Fang+ – 3
  • Anjanath Plate – 1

If you’re feeling adventurous, you can even upgrade Aloy’s bow to the War Bow. Sure, you’ll need to kill some more Anajanth’s, but the bow is totally worth it. Then again, I’m a bow user.

Aloy’s War Bow:

  • Nora Brave Trophy – 3
  • Anjanath Scale+ – 7
  • Elder Dragon Bone – 3
  • Wyvern Gem – 1

Keep in mind, this quest will only be available until March 15, 2018. Then it will rotate out with the previous Horizon Zero Dawn quest, Lesson of the Wild,  that will provide you with gear for your Palico. What are you still doing here? Get to grinding!

Monster Hunter: World is currently available for the PS4 and Xbox One. A PC version will be released in Fall 2018.
