Check Out The Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Launch Trailer

By Keith MitchellFebruary 22, 2018

You had me at Gun Gale Online

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet. Gale Online. Can you believe we’re getting a game based on the 5 and 6 chapter of the Sword Art Online manga and second half of the anime? Yeah, neither can I, but I’m so glad that Bandai Namco decided to do one.

Forget the swords and magic, we’re going with some real steel. Pistols, rifles and other various projectile weapons. Oh, and maybe some lasers as well. The game is a shooter, a big change from the previous rpg-stylized of before. More specially, a loot-based shooter. Think Ubisoft’s Tom Clancy’s The Division or Bungie’s Destiny 1/2. It will even have an online multiplayer mode, so that’s going to be interesting.

Thankfully, this game doesn’t follow either the manga and or anime directly. Sure, we’ll see some of the characters that we’ve come to know and love or loathe. But this game is based on a completely different route. I won’t say how much different is, you’ll just have to play the game.

Now you’re up to speed with what Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is all about, check out the launch trailer. Then don’t forget to pick up the game. It comes out tomorrow, Feb. 23, 2018,  for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC (Steam).

Oh, if you like Sword Art Online, then don’t miss the upcoming anime that debuts on March 23, 2018. Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online!
