Xbox FanFest To Return For E3 2018

By Keith MitchellFebruary 13, 2018
Xbox Fanfest 2018

With the E3 2018 hype train starting to ramp up speed, we got wind of the status of the Xbox Fanfest. For starters, yes, it will be making a return. However, we won’t know more about the program until later in April 2018.

For those who aren’t familiar with the Xbox Fanfest, here’s the breakdown. Microsoft will pick up a number of E3 tickets and will provide them, free of charge. All you have to do is sign up in time and you’ll get a chance to win one. This doesn’t pay for the trip to the E3 event, just access. As well as some super secret Microsoft and Xbox stuff, like behind the stage stuff and free goodies. Like the Xbox Fanfest backpack, something I’m still after.

#XboxFanFest fans – I know a lot of you have had questions about this so wanted to let everyone know; We’ll have more to announce in April. And yes, we will be having another #XboxFanFest at E3 again this year. Stay tuned!”

Hopefully, this year’s Xbox Fanfest ticket raffle is better than what happened for E3 2017. Due to an issue, the first round of winners had their tickets revoked. With a second round behind held at a later date, with many of the original winners not getting tickets. It was pretty rough for everyone involved.

Thankfully, the story ended up with a happy ending. Microsoft provided E3 2017 tickets to the original winners who had their tickets revoked. This didn’t provide access to the Xbox Fanfest event, however.

So while it ended up on a possible note, I’d rather see things go well the first time. We’ll find out this April 2018. Be sure to follow #XboxFanFest on Twitter for more info.
