Sea Of Thieves PC Specs Finally Released

By Keith MitchellFebruary 13, 2018
Sea of Thieves

Is your PC up to snuff?

With the release of Rare’s Sea of Thieves upon us, the dev studio has finally released the official specs for the game. However, what’s interesting with the specs that they released is that they’ve gone beyond what most companies have done. While you typically only have a minimum, required and recommended spec. Rare has put out detailed specs from resolutions ranging from 540p@30fps, all the way up to 4K@60fps.

With this, its clear that Rare and Microsoft want as many people as possible, playing this game. Who can blame them? The beta for Sea of Thieves was amazing and making sure that even lower-end PCs. This could go a long way to ensuring that everyone will be able to play it. Which leads to the Xbox Game Pass, that gives gamers on box Xbox and PC a free taste of the game.

That’s right. Microsoft announced a few weeks back that Sea of Thieves will be available on Xbox Game Pass, on day one. Meaning if you have the Xbox Game Pass on Xbox, you’ll be able to play it on the Xbox One and PC. Think of it as a demo, except that demo is the full game.

Full specs for Sea of Thieves are listed below.

It’s worth mentioning taking a good look at the 1080p and 4K requirements. Those requirements aren’t as high as I expected. Especially 4K@60fps, which is playable on a GTX 1070 or RX Vega 56. And while these are preset configurations, you’ll be able to change them to add or remove performance as long as you have the hardware to do so.
