Reaction Theater – The Ancient Magus’ Bride 1×01 “April Showers Bring May Flowers”

By Julius CantaraJanuary 30, 2018

Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of Julz Chan’s Reaction Theater. If you’re not familiar with the show, it’s where our host, Julius Cantara, puts his own unique spin providing colorful commentary on popular (and unpopular) anime series. This time Julz Chan enters the enchanting world of “The Ancient Magus’ Bride” with the first episode “April Flowers Bring May Flowers.” Chise Hatori is a lonely teenager who has no family, no home and was shunned by society so she agrees to be sold into slavery. During an auction, she is purchased by a strange man named Elias Ainsworth, the great Throne Mage. Ainsworth is a powerful and well-known mage who wishes to take Chise as his apprentice and bride. Chise learns about her unique gift and how it may help her become a great mage, but also learns some of the dangers of the magical world.

Sounds like an enchanting tale. So grab your Adder Stones, book of spells, and be very weary of fairies on this journey. Be sure to leave any comments and/or feedback of show once you’re done watching!
