The creator of the beloved farming life simulator Stardew Valley recently teased the long awaited multiplayer update via Twitter. In the Tweet, he features a picture of the 4-player mode where players can work together on their farms.

The screenshot teases new items like the flamingo above, and also features two homes next to each other. In addition, the developer revealed in a Tweet reply that players will be able to marry other players! The update will add a multiplayer mode but also bring changes to the singleplayer mode.
ConcernedApe notes that he has finished working on the new singleplayer content and can now focus all of his attention on the multiplayer mode. Some of the new content to expect in the upcoming update includes a new “town event”, more NPC events, outdoor decorations, and the addition of signs.
The update is expected to arrive sometime in Q1 of 2018, which was announced last December. In that same announcent, the developer also shared that they are working on a Vita port. Stardew Valley is currently available on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and most recently made its way to Switch. The success of Stardew Valley is certainly impressive, but even more impressive is sole developer Eric Barone’s continued support and gameplay additions to the title!
