Nintendo Had 7 Out Of 10 Best-Selling Games On Amazon

You’ve likely been hearing for quite a while that Nintendo had an amazing 2017. Between the launch and success of the Switch, the continued sales of the 3DS, and two major mobile games coming out via Fire Emblem Heroes and Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, it’s hard to deny all that they did during the year. But, how do you truly quantify how well they did during the year? Well, Amazon may be able to help with that.

As one of the biggest sales sites on the internet, Amazon knows how to keep track of things, including what sells the most during the year. So, they revealed what their best sellers list, and gaming wise, Nintendo dominated. Now, we’re just talking pure video games here, no gift cards for console stores or Steam and such, just pure games that were bought on Amazon.

As you’re about to see, Nintendo did extremely well:

  1. Super Mario Odyssey
  2. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  3. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch)
  4. Horizon Zero Dawn
  5. Call of Duty: WWII (PS4)
  6. Call of Duty: WWII (Xbox One)
  7. Splatoon 2
  8. Pokemon Ultra Sun
  9. Pokemon Ultra Moon
  10. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Wii U)

How about that? 7 out of the top ten video games bought on Amazon were Nintendo titles. And one was even a Wii U title! Just goes to show, you can NEVER count out Nintendo.
