A great Christmas present this is. Atlus unveiled two trailers for their Persona Dancing titles, Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night and Person 5 Dancing Star Night. This is also includes a release date in Japan. Both Persona 3 & 5 Dancing games will be released on May 24, 2018. This is a good clue in when we can predict a Western release date. While we are waiting, lets look at these beautiful trailers.
Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night
Immediately, we are greeted by the residents of the Velvet Room, Theodore and the tone deaf Elizabeth. First new remix we hear is “Time” from Persona 3 Portable. Then we see the cast bust out their moves. Never would I thought to see Fuuka Yamagishi and Mitsuru Kirijo dance. Simple to say, the art in this trailer looks stunning. It’s definitely come a long way since the days of the PS2. Next remix we hear is “When the Moon’s Reaching Out Stars“. The main composer for both games will be Ryota Kozuka, but the remix will be done by the main men themselves, Shoji Meguro, Atsushi Kitajoh, and Toshiki Konishi. Might I note the at 1:01, Mitsuru looks stunning in a Christmas dress. We see the locales of the game, such as Paulownia Mall, in front of Taturus, Naganaki Shrine, and the roof top of Gekkoukan High School. Main character retains his movie name of Makoto Yuki as the cast is given their spotlight. It looks like the Japanese cast will reprise their roles for this game.
Outside of the dancing, we see a bit of the story that will place in the Disco Velvet Room, Iwatodai Dorms, and in the casts rooms. A new change from Persona 4 Dancing All Night is that the cut-scenes will be done in the 3D models as such in the dancing portion, rather than the 2D face portrait Visual Novel style we seen before. The third remix we hear is the iconic theme of the Velvet Room “Aria of the Soul“. Other guest remixers involve ATOLS, Lotus Juice, and Yuyoyuppe to name a few.
Persona 5 Dancing Star Night
In the Persona 5 trailer, we are guided by Morgana and Futaba. Immediately, we are greeted with Morgana’s English and a very excellent rap by the two. Confirmed, we see the rest cast of the Phantom Thieves alongside the locales of Persona 5. Beginning off, we have a remix of “Life Will Change.” Here is one of the big news to coincide with the anime of Persona 5. The Main Hero’s official name here is Ren Amamiya, not the manga iteration of Akira Kurusu. A first appearance, we see Yuske Kitagawa’s smooth moves. Slick as a fox. Now, we see Morgana getting into the mix. Funny as they have Morgona of Persona 5 and no appearance of Koromaru of Persona 3.
Featured remixers will include Jazztronik, Sacho of Soil and Pimp Sessions, and tofubeats. Next they showcase some costumes for the cast, like Butler Yusuke, and Cheerleader Haru. Next remix they have is of “Last Surprise“. Also shown off for the first time is Haru Okumura and Futaba Sakura. Haru’s style reflects her rich and high life. While Futaba, again, you never expect of her to dance given her reclusive nature. We also get a nice scene showing off all the ladies, as shown below.
Lastly, they warp it up with the theme of Persona 5 Dancing Star Night. They also showed off two special edition of the games should you wish for either PS4 or PlayStation Vita.
PS Vita will get the Persona Dancing Deluxe Twin Plus, which includes both games in a special package designed by Shigenori Soejima, the full soundtrack (four CDs with sixty songs), and a large batch of DLC costumes from other ATLUS titles like Devil Summoner. It will cost 15,780 yen plus taxes.
The PS4 limited edition, named Persona Dancing All-Star Triple Pack is the one with the special treat and will include both games, the special package, the soundtrack, and a PS4 version of Persona 4 Dancing All Night. It will cost 16,880 yen plus taxes. Get all three games? Or the DLC costumes?

Persona 3 Dancing Moon Night and Persona 5 Dancing Star Night will be released in Japan on May 24, 2018 for PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4. A western release date is still to be announced.
