Gang Beasts on Schedule to Set PS4 Release in Late 2017

By VeronicaNovember 13, 2017
Gang Beasts

Gang Beasts was originally a Steam Early Access game back in 2014. It has since gained popularity as a local multiplayer party game with silly fighting mechanics. A PS4 version was originally slated for 2016, but developer Boneloaf has not given us much to go on, until now.

In an official statement:

We’re working through PS4 certification currently and expect to have to make at least one more submission before passing, we can then schedule a meeting with Double Fine, Sony, and other partners to set a date for the PS4 release. We are currently on schedule to set a release date in late 2017.

Seeing as it is already November, this news is surprising. Boneloaf must be close to the final product to make this kind of announcement, but it’s clear they’ve faced hiccups along the way. Nonetheless, it is exciting to learn that Gang Beasts is still on its way to PS4, and that it’s close.

In addition, they also discuss the next 0.7.0 build for Steam and some of its new features. New game modes, improved stages, climbing mechanics, new character costumes, and more can be anticipated in the next build and the full release of the game.

Gang Beasts is currently available as a Steam Early Access title for $19.99 with a full version expected soon after build 0.7.0.
