Towards the beginning of October, Capcom made is known that they simply didn’t have the resources to bring Ultra Street Fighter IV to any of the next-generation consoles. This was confirmed by Yoshinori Ono via twitter.
This would would make sense as previously reported that Capcom wasn’t doing so well financially and was running low on cash which lead to some journalists suggesting that we may be seeing the last days of Capcom, which will remain to be seen. However fast-forward to today and Yoshi has changed his tune and is now stating that Capcom is looking for a game designer and programmer for a new fighter which may or may not be for a next-gen console but none the less, they are looking to produce a new fighter game.
So Ono, which is it? Are you or are you not in the process of developing a new fighting game or possibly porting over Ultra Street Fighter IV?
