BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle Announced For Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4 and Steam

By Ramy Abou-settaOctober 15, 2017

BlazBlue a fighting game series that is beloved by many, and praised for its amazing visuals and combos. Arc System Works (Developers) announced that the new entry, Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Steam, sometime in 2018.

Unfortunately, the title has not be announced for the Xbox One, but we will keep you posted.

It will not be a sequel to the main series, however, it will be a spin-off that will be bringing characters from other game franchises, which include: Yu Narukami and Yosuke Hanamura (Persona 4 Arena) Hyde and Linne (Under Night In-Birth) Ruby Rose and Weiss Schnee (RWBY).

Original BlazBlue Roster returners such as Rachel Alucard and Hazama Honoka are joined by the newcomer Weiss Schnee, which was revealed to us in the trailer below. Rachel is a fan favourite that has appeared in BlazBlue titles since Calamity Trigger (2008). Not forgetting Hazama who is also a fan favourite, and has been in the series since Continuum Shift (2009).

Weiss is a main character from the RWBY anime series created by Youtube’s very own RoosterTeeth. The BlazBlue series has made reference to the series and this character in particular. Joining the franchise for the very first time with this appearance.
