Star Ocean: The Last Hope 4K & Full HD Remaster Heading To PS4 And PC

Star Ocean: The Last Hope is the next title that’s getting the HD remaster treatment. Announced by Square Enix, the title will see a fully HD remaster that supports 4K and will be available on the PS4 and PC. The remastered version is set for a November 28th, 2017, release in Japan. No word on if and when we’ll see the state arrive in the West. Seeing how the release date isn’t that far off, the title has been in development for some time.

The remastered version will also include several adjustable graphical options. You’ll be able to change settings such as shadows, motion blur, all of which will have an impact on frame rate. This also marks the first time that the Star Ocean series has made its way over to the PC.

It seems that the company that once couldn’t be bothered by remasters is really moving ahead with them now. Star Ocean: The Last Hope is eight-years-old now and was released on the PS3. While the title reviewed well, many complained about the stale storytelling. While applauding the combat system, saying it was the best of its time. I never played the first, but if this makes it to the West, I’ll definitely try it out.
