Gran Turismo: Sport Demo Hitting Next Week

To say that it’s been a lengthy development cycle for Gran Turismo: Sport would be an understatement. The title was pushed back from its 2016 release date, to later in 2017. Then there was the little issue of the first beta being scrapped. Eventually, another beta was announced but was released in limited numbers. Now, with the release date quickly approaching, Sony has announced a public demo that will be free and accessible for everyone.

Running from Oct 9th – 12th, 2017 this demo will provide access the campaign, arcade, and sport modes. PlayStation Plus members will be able to pre-load the demo starting on October 7th at 8 AM PT/11AM ET, with access to the game on October 9th, at 12 AM PT/3 PM EST. Everyone else will be able to download and access to the demo on October 9th at 6 PM PT/9 PM ET. The demo will end on October 12th at 8 AM PT/11 AM ET.

In sport mode, drivers can prove just how fast they are by putting down their fastest lap time. Campaign mode gives players the chance to improve their driving skills across numerous challenges, missions, and circuit experiences. While arcade mode will let gamers just pick a car of their choice and drive on several different tracks. You’ll even be able to race against via split-screen mode. Nice to see that Polyphony Digital hasn’t gotten about one of the things that made Gran Turismo great.

Everyone who plays in the demo will also receive up to $1,000,00 in-game credits as well. Lastly, all progress will transfer over to the full game, once it is released.
