October’s PS Plus Lineup Announced

By VeronicaSeptember 27, 2017

Sony is continuing to impress with their PS Plus lineup of free games for subscribers. For the month of October, PS4 players will receive Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, as well as Amnesia: Collection. The Phantom Pain takes place after the events of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, a game which was also previously offered as a PS Plus title. While it might be kind of confusing for series newcomers, the stealth-based gameplay was well-received. Amnesia: Collection offers a survival horror experience, bundling both The Dark Descent and A Machine for Pigs.

The full PS Plus lineup for October is:

  • Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (PS4)
  • Amnesia: Collection (PS4)
  • Monster Jam Battlegrounds (PS3)
  • Hustle Kings (PS3)
  • Hue (PS Vita & PS4)
  • Sky Force Anniversary (PS Vita & PS4)

There’s still time to pick up September’s games, which featured Infamous: Second Son and Strike Vector Ex. There is no new PSVR title offered in this month’s lineup, but RIGS Mechanized Combat League will be free for subscribers until November 7. The official blog also notes that PSVR’s 1 year anniversary is approaching this October, and the PlayStation Store will be hosting deals on PSVR titles October 10th.

PS Plus games become available October 2, the first Tuesday of the month.
