‘Tomb Raider’ Buzzes Way to Top of Social Media Charts

By Clinton Bowman-ChristieSeptember 26, 2017

Let it be said that Tomb Raider is a real conversation starter on social media. The Alicia Vikander-led Tomb Raider reboot made it to the top of the social media buzz list with 54,000 conversations after the release of the movie’s first trailer according to media-measurement firm comScore and its PreAct service, as reported by Variety on Monday.

The movie’s first trailer, which was released on September 20,  made Lara’s mission absolutely clear:  “Close the tomb once and for all. The fate of humanity is now in your hands.”

The film, adapted from the popular Square Enix series, is directed by Roar Uthaug and stars Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft. Tomb Raider debuts in theaters on March 16, 2018.

We also have a review of the latest game in the Tomb Raider game series, Rise of the Tomb Raider, here on The Outerhaven.
