Hokuto ga Gotoku Release Date And Special DLC Announced

By Yhani JonesSeptember 20, 2017
The announcement for the upcoming Fist of the North Star game, Hokuto ga Gotoku, took place last month and it was then that we discovered the developers behind this title would be none other than team behind the Yakuza series.

At that time, we were sure that Hokuto ga Gotoku would include a story taking place outside of the one found throughout the original tv series.

Also, this game’s play style can easily be compared to that of the Yakuza series, with plenty of action and fighting through use of play spots.

The 2017 Tokyo Game Show in Japan gave us another glimpse into the world of Hokuto ga Gotoku with an exciting new trailer, take a look.

Hokuto ga Gotoku will officially release in Japan on February 22, 2018.

Alongside this release date, SEGA has also confirmed that DLC will become available for the game and feature Yakuza‘s Kiryu as a playable character! He will be part of the “Premium Edition” of the game available at launch and be playable from the start of the game to the end.

Similar to how Yakuza Kiwami eventually came to the North America, I would love to think that we could see this game come overseas and become available late 2018 or even early 2019. Fingers crossed!
