Skyrim

Well, this is a nice surprise. We finally see more of the Switch version for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Needless to say, some surprising details was shown off in their trailer, which you can view yourself below:

Bethesda had the following to say about The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’s announcement for the Nintendo Switch via Press Release sent out to the media after the Bethesdaland Event:

Winner of more than 200 Game of the Year Awards, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, the epic fantasy from Bethesda Game Studios, arrives for Nintendo Switch. The legendary open-world adventure where you can be anyone and do anything, now allows you to go anywhere – at home on your TV or on the go. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for Nintendo Switch includes all-new gameplay features like motion controls for combat and lockpicking, outfits and gear from The Legend of Zelda, plus additional loot unlocked from compatible The Legend of Zelda amiibo figures. Take down enemies with the Master Sword, protect yourself with the Hylian Shield or look heroic in the Champion’s Tunic. Skyrim also includes all official add-ons – Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn.

Shown off first is that naturally, there will be amiibo support. More surprising is when scanning a Zelda series amiibo, your character will don the Master Sword and the tunic from Breath of the Wild. While it’s nothing too new, as there are mods of it, its nice to have something official from Nintendo. Another feature that was shown off is motion controls will be a option. Example shown is when using the bow and drawing the bow back and acting the gesture to shoot. Very reminiscent to Wii Sports Resort or Skyward Sword. Overall, it is going to be interesting when this version of Skyrim is released for the Nintendo Switch.
