Clocking in at just under two minutes, the footage still manages to show off enough combat, movement, and chaotic energy to get even the most jaded beat ’em up fan paying attention.

Tribute Games has built a strong reputation for crafting some of the best modern beat ’em ups around, which includes Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge and more recently, Marvel Cosmic Invasion. And based on this latest look at Scott Pilgrim: EX, it seems that trend is set to continue. The gameplay leans into fast, flashy combos, special moves, and screen-filling brawls, all wrapped in the series’ unmistakable visual style.
