Kadokawa announced on Saturday that the My Happy Marriage TV anime will receive a three-episode special in 2026. As with seasons one and two, Netflix will stream the special outside of Japan. A new visual accompanied the announcement.
The original staff and cast from the TV anime will return for the special, but no additional information has been revealed yet. The special is also separate from the new anime project that Kadokawa announced in April.
The first season aired in Summer 2023 and received a 7.69 score on My Anime List. The second season aired in Winter 2025 and received a 7.41 score. The original light novel series written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka began in January 2019, and has received nine volumes. The series has also received a manga adaptation, live-action film, and stage play.
