Doug Cockle Confirms Geralt's Return in The Witcher 4 Again

Doug Cockle, the voice actor for Geralt of Rivia in the Witcher trilogy by CD Projekt Red, also voiced the character in the Netflix animated film The Sea of the Abyss. It has been confirmed that Cockle will return to voice Geralt in The Witcher 4, as he recently reaffirmed.

In an interview with PCGamer, Cockle confirmed, “I can confirm that Geralt will appear in The Witcher 4,” echoing what CD Projekt Red had also confirmed after the first trailer for the game was revealed in December, where Geralt’s voice was heard, suggesting his involvement. However, Cockle added, “I just can’t say exactly in what way or how much.”

This isn’t the first time Cockle has mentioned Geralt’s role. Back in August, he stated that Geralt would be part of the game but wasn’t sure to what degree or in what form. He also admitted that CD Projekt Red had given him a bit of a scolding for revealing this information before the game was officially announced.

Cockle expressed excitement upon learning that Ciri would be the new protagonist of the series. “I can’t wait to see what they do with Witcher 4. I’m excited to go on Ciri’s journey with her,” he said. Based on these comments, it looks like Geralt will be with Ciri, but it’s best not to take his words too seriously for now.
