AXS TV Adds Azuki’s Anime.com Hour to Thursday Nights

By Josh PiedraFebruary 11, 2025

Anime has taken the world by storm, capturing the imaginations of fans and rivaling the acclaim of its contemporary American counterparts. Now, this action-packed artform is joining AXS TV, as the Network partners with the L.A.-based anime company Azuki to present the all-new original series Anime.com Hour—premiering Thursday, February 13 at 10P ET, following the widely-popular TNA iMPACT! The series puts the spotlight on two of the genre’s most popular offerings, airing episodes of Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] and My Hero Academia [Season 1-2].

The new series premieres with the popular visual novel adaptation Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works], covering one of the game’s three routes. Featuring stunning CGI effects to complement more traditional animation techniques by studio ufotable, the series follows the young aspiring mage Shirou Emiya as he is drawn into a secret ritual competition called the Holy Grail War. There, he must compete against fellow mages as they command legendary heroes from across history in a deadly battle royale for a wish from the eponymous Holy Grail. Broadcast in English, the series features the talents of accomplished voice actors Bryce Papenbrook, Mela Lee, and Kari Wahlgren, among others.

The following week on February 20, Anime.com Hour will feature the global phenomenon My Hero Academia, which blends emotional depth with powerful storytelling, unparalleled world-building, and beloved superhero themes. The series details a young boy’s desperate quest to become a superhero, which takes him to a colorful academy where he finds that being a true hero is much more complicated than meets the eye. Broadcast in English, My Hero Academia features performances from award-winning voice actors such as Justin Briner, Clifford Chapin, Luci Christian, and David Matranga.

anime.com Hour is the perfect complement to AXS TV’s programming lineup—delivering an exciting blend of music and storytelling, with carefully-crafted soundtracks that have fueled some of the medium’s most iconic battles, jaw-dropping moments, hilarious hijinks, and so much more. Now, curious new viewers and diehard anime fans alike will have the chance to experience some of these classic moments for themselves when Anime.com Hour launches on AXS TV.

Relive some of the most iconic moments from two of the genre’s most groundbreaking series, as AXS TV and Azuki’s Anime.com Hour presents classic episodes of Fate/stay night [Unlimited Blade Works] and My Hero Academia [Season 1-2] every week in primetime on Thursday nights at 10P ET.
