While it was already known that the Summer Game Fest would return in 2025, the event’s creator, Geoff Keighley, took to social media to officially announce that it will be held on June 6th, 2025, in Los Angeles, CA.

The Summer Game Fest will once again take place at the YouTube Theater, where gamers can expect several hours of gaming updates and reveals. Following that, Summer Game Fest Days, hosted by IAM8Bit, will showcase even more games for media and influencers at a location in Downtown LA.

Mark your calendar for Friday, June 6 — @SummerGameFest returns to @youtubetheater in LA to showcase what’s next from the entire video game industry. Streaming live everywhere.

I had a chance to attend the event last year and it was a blast, as I had a chance to get some hands-on with several upcoming titles including Phantom Blade Zero, Path of Exile 2, DeathSprint 66, and a hands-off preview of Monster Hunter Wilds.

As for this year, I can only imagine what games we’ll get to see behind closed doors, but rest assured that whatever is planned, it’s going to be simply amazing. Fingers crossed that we get invited back to participate in this amazing event.

The 2025 Summer Game Fest takes place on June 6th, 2025.
