Rebel Wolves Teases its Dark Fantasy Action RPG The Blood of Dawnwalker

Just when you thought 2025 was already packed to the brim with action RPGs, Bandai Namco and Rebel Wolves studio surprises us with yet game that has the makings of a contender. This time, it’s The Blood of Dawnwalker, an action RPG featuring vampires, developed by Rebel Wolves studio. The studio is brimming with talent such as Konrad Tomaszkiewicz and Jakub Szamałek, to name a few, who have worked on games like The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. Suffice it to say, that both the studio and the game are ones to keep an eye on.

In the latest trailer for The Blood of Dawnwalker, we are introduced to a 14th-century medieval European village that lies in ruins, where the ruling class treats its inhabitants like trash, and fear of a plague runs rampant. It’s a grim time for everyone. Incomes a father and his ill child as they attempt to escape the oppressive town, only to be intercepted by the town’s militia and its ruthless ruler, who intend to execute them.

Then, something unexpected happens—vampires arrive. They save the pair in the most gruesome way possible, heal the child, and declare that the days of misery are over and that things will be different… for everyone. Whether that is good or bad has yet to be seen.

Unfortunately, the trailer did not include much gameplay, but what was shown hinted at some intriguing mechanics like wall scaling or climbing, glimpses of combat, and, of course, bosses. However, from the trailer and game art, we can see that the character that players will control, Coen, will have the ability to walk in the sun just as well as the moon, which gives the game an interesting dynamic for sure.

This is just a taste of what The Blood of Dawnwalker has to offer. A full gameplay reveal is slated for the summer of 2025, likely during one of the major events happening around that time.

There’s no release date for The Blood of Dawnwalker yet, but even after this small cinematic reveal, I’m fully invested and can’t wait to dive into this world where vampires meet action RPG.
