By Josh PiedraJanuary 28, 2025

The piano trio band Omoinotake, known for their activities not only in Japan but also for their successful concerts in Taipei and Seoul, gained widespread recognition with their song “Ikuokukonen” (Billions of Light Years / the theme song for the drama series “Eye Love You”), released in January last year. The track has surpassed 400 million streams and is known as one of 2024’s defining love songs.

Omoinotake’s much anticipated new album, “Pieces”, was released today.

The album “Pieces” also includes the hit track “Ikuokukonen” (Billions of Light Years), along with songs like “Iolite” (A love song that expresses feelings for one’s favorite person/artist), “Tsubomi” (Ending theme for Anime “My Hero Academia season 7”), and new recordings. The album, filled with Omoinotake’s signature “danceable and emotional” music, promises to be a masterpiece.

In this album, also includes “Better Half (feat. JEONGHAN of SEVENTEEN) -Japanese ver.“, the duet song with JEONGHAN, a member of the vocal team from the popular 13-member group SEVENTEEN sung in Japanese by JEONGHAN and Leo Fujii (Omoinotake), creating a buzz among fans worldwide.

Special studio recording footage video of “Better Half (feat. JEONGHAN of SEVENTEEN) -Japanese ver.-”, has been premiered on Omoinotake official YouTube channel today.

This song, written with the theme of a long-distance relationship, captures the heartfelt emotions of unwaveringly reaching out to “you,” even when apart. The title “Better Half” represents the one who brings color to one’s life and completes them. The video features JEONGHAN singing in Japanese in the recording studio, and it must be a precious video for the fans.

To celebrate the album release, YouTube live stream program “Omoinotake Major 2nd ALBUM ‘Pieces’ Release Special Live on YouTube” starts from today at 8pm JST , is also announced. On their official YouTube channel, band members will talk about their new album “Pieces”, followed by live performance from the album tracks, so don’t miss it!
