Violet Evergarden: The Movie Wins at 1st Dolby Cinema Japan Awards

The inaugural Dolby Cinema Awards concluded during the 37th annual Tokyo International Film Festival. There, Violet Evergarden: The Movie took home the award in the New Anime category.

Violet Evergarden: The Movie was originally released in 2020 and will be receiving a new screening at 10 Dolby Cinemas across Japan starting on November 15.

Other notable winners were:

  • The Boy and the Heron – Special Award
  • Godzilla Minus One – Special Award
  • The Super Mario Bros. Movie – Dolby Cinema 3D Special Award
