There Has Been “No Change” To Nintendo Switch 2 Announcement Plan

In other words...we're still waiting.
By Todd BlackNovember 5, 2024
Nintendo Switch 2

It’s been a busy day for Nintendo, as it dropped its financial briefing to inform people about its recent financial quarter’s success and setbacks. If you didn’t hear, Nintendo lowered its projected profits by 10% to compensate for the lack of hardware sales that it felt it would get. Don’t forget that the Switch is on its “last legs,” and thus, many won’t be buying the system, as they’ll be waiting for the announcement of the Nintendo Switch 2. On that front, we have some good news…and some bad news.

The good news, as reported by Reuters, is that Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa did address the upcoming reveal for the Nintendo Switch 2 and said that there was “no change” to the plan to unveil it sometime in the current fiscal year. In other words, we’ll hear about it before the end of March 2025. However, he didn’t give any hints or details about WHEN that announcement might be.

Thus, we’re back in the “waiting game” that has been haunting us recently. Oh well, we’ll endure.
