Super Nintendo World Direct Fully Unveils Donkey Kong Country Area!

Yes, there are lots of bananas here.
By Todd BlackNovember 11, 2024
Super Nintendo World, Donkey Kong Country

As was teased yesterday, a special Direct focused on Super Nintendo World has dropped. In it, the one and only Shigeru Miyamoto toured viewers through much of the Donkey Kong Country expansion that’ll open in Japan in just one month’s time! That’s right, the Kyoto branch will open the expansion on December 11th! To get you ready for that, Miyamoto showed off the many attractions that you have to look forward to when it opens, including a few surprises you might not have expected.

For example, while there are rides and stores, the restaurant is focused on bananas! Don’t worry, there’s a special hot dog you can buy, too. Plus, you can actually take photos with Donkey Kong! We also got a glimpse at some of the hidden games and attractions that you can play, including finding all the “KONG” letters! Check it out below:

Miyamoto also confirmed that Super Nintendo World in Orlando will open with both parks available to visitors when the “Epic Universe” drops in May next year. Plus, we know that more Nintendo characters will get park expansions with time! Who might be next…?
