Insider Debunks Recent Resident Evil 9 Rumors

On November 5, the YouTube channel Residence of Evil, known for its Resident Evil coverage, shared several new details about the upcoming Resident Evil 9, claiming that Leon and Jill would be the main characters. However, some of these reported details appear to be incorrect.

Trusted insider Dusk Golem joined the discussion, addressing recent claims from Residence of Evil and other sources like Biohazard Declassified. He dismissed specific claims about an abandoned hospital setting and a character called “Goat Man” as being part of Resident Evil 9.

I've been asked multiple times in multiple places about that Resident Evil 9 rumor floating around about the hospital/goatman stalker thing, was also emailed about it too months ago.

It's fake as far as I know.

“I’ve been asked multiple times in multiple places about that Resident Evil 9 rumor floating around about the hospital/goatman stalker thing, was also emailed about it too months ago. It’s fake as far as I know.,” Dusk Golem explained. “Full transparency; I at present don’t know what the delay to RE9’s development has changed about RE9 at present, so for now I’m working with outdated information. But both that doesn’t sound like the RE9 I know, I doubt it turned into that with the delay, & it reeks of BS to me.”

Dusk Golem didn’t comment on other rumors regarding the main characters, supporting roles, or the story of the new game. For now, these details remain as unconfirmed rumors until Capcom officially reveals more about Resident Evil 9. If more news and rumors emerge, we’ll make sure to keep you guys informed.
