A Special Version Of Pokemon Monopoly Is Available Now to Pre-Order

I NEED IT!!!
By Todd BlackNovember 2, 2024
Pokemon Monopoly

Given how widespread the Pokemon franchise has been since its launch basically three decades ago, it’s unsurprising to see how many board game crossovers it’s had, alongside original board game creations The Pokemon Company has done. As a Gen 1-er, I’ve had many of those games, including the original Pokemon Monopoly, which I will maintain is the best version of Monopoly EVER!!! I said it! However, that game was made during Gen 1, and we’ve had eight other generations since then. So…Hasbro has decided to “up its game” and create a new version that you can pre-order now on Hasbro Pulse.

The main difference between this version of Pokemon Monopoly and the older versions is the ways to win. Previously, it played just like Monopoly, with you going around, buying spaces, and trying to gain advantages over your foes in various ways. Yet, in this one, your goal is to catch one Pokemon of the eight types available on the board. If you do that? You win! Or, when all is said and done, and you have Pokeballs left…you win! As you’ll see below, the version takes a lot of cues from Gen 9, including having you play as the three starts from Paldea alongside Pikachu. If you think you’re interested, check out the picture gallery below!
