Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered Announced For Consoles and PC

If you’re a fan of Tomb Raider and remastered titles, you’ll be happy to know that Aspyr has just announced Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered, which will be released on February 14, 2025.

This collection follows Aspyr’s release of Tomb Raider I-III Remastered, which was launched in February 2024 and was a fantastic remaster, doing justice to the franchise. This collection of remastered titles features updated visuals and controls for the following games:

  • Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation – Lara Croft discovers the lost tomb of the Egyptian God Set, unwittingly unleashing him and fulfilling an ancient prophecy—one that plunges mankind into darkness.
  • Tomb Raider: Chronicles – Following the events of The Last Revelation, Lara Croft is buried in an Egyptian tomb and is presumed dead. At her memorial, those closest to her reminisce about secrets from her past.
  • Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness – Accused of murder, Lara becomes a fugitive on the run, while uncovering a sinister conspiracy involving alchemical experiments and the search for ancient artifacts.

Yes, we’re finally getting a remastered version of Angel of Darkness. I know fans of Tomb Raider have been begging for a remaster of this specific title for quite some time, and we’re finally getting it. As for the controls, players can switch before the original tank controls or modernized controllers, similar to what was done with Tomb Raider I-III Remastered.

But what about a new Tomb Raider game, since it’s been a while since the world has been graced by one? Well, while we don’t have a release date, the VP of Amazon Games has gone on record that it is working with “Crystal Dynamics to bring the next chapter of Lara Croft’s saga to players around the world”.

There have also been a few “leaks” that state that this new Tomb Raider game will be set in India and will feature a fully open world. There is a post on Reddit that gives a few more bits of info, but remember, until Amazon and Crystal Dynamics give us some official info, this is all rumors at this point.

Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered will be available on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC (Steam).
