The one and only Masahiro Sakurai has taken us on quite a journey over the last few years, and it’s sad to know that his “Creating Games” YouTube channel is getting ready to end its run. For over two years, Sakurai has revealed his insights into the gaming community, and imbued viewers with knowledge about how he feels games should be handled, designed, and managed. Don’t worry, he also made it clear that his “style” isn’t for everyone, but he did try and frame it so that this could reflect across all of gaming. He did videos about Super Smash Bros., Kirby, Kid Icarus, his cats, Mr. Satoru Iwata, and so much more.
Yet, in a post on Twitter and on the YouTube page itself, Masahiro Sakurai revealed that on October 22nd, there will be a 40-minute “Special Finale” for the channel. It’ll debut at a special time, but will be available on the channel after it’s done.

As you can imagine, many are sad that this is about to come to an end. Yet, it also could mean that Sakurai will return to Nintendo to make some games for its next console. We’ll have to see if his future is detailed in the video.
