Songwriter and composer HIROYUKI SAWANO is well known for writing music for various worldwide popular anime series, TV series, and films such as Attack on Titan, The Seven Deadly Sins, Kill la Kill, Guilty Crown, Blue Exorcist, Mobile Suit Gundam UC, Promare, Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress, and many more. SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] is his special project focusing on vocal featuring tracks, and celebrating the project’s 10th anniversary, its greatest hit album, titled bLACKbLUE is out now!
The album includes a total of 38 songs featuring various artists as vocalists, such as ASKA, Aimer, Okano Akihito (from Porno Graffitti), suis (from Yorushika), TOMORROW X TOGETHER. Two bonus tracks which are total new songs are also included, with “Twin Fates”, a collaboration track with female rapper Awich, and “B-Cuz”, a new track featuring SennaRin, a singer whom Sawano produces.
Prior to the album release this week, SawanoHiroyuki[nZk] debuted a new song “Twin Fate” featuring Awich. The song was written as the theme song for the new set of the worldwide popular strategic trading card game “Magic: The Gathering,” titled “Wilds of Eldraine.” The trailer, which was released on YouTube in September 2023, was produced by Studio Pierrot and created in Japan for a global audience. After the trailer first launched it quickly gained over 4M views and fans have been longing for the track release. The collaboration between the stunning animation depicting the rich and vast world of “Wilds of Eldraine” and this song has generated significant buzz, marking a highly anticipated release after a year of development.
